About Dr. Jill Guggenheim

About Dr. Jill Guggenheim, Therapist, Psychological Health of South Jersey

Dr. Jill Guggenheim received her undergraduate education at Penn State Schreyer Honors College, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Psychology. She went on to attend Drexel University, earning both a Master of Science and a PhD in Clinical Psychology.

Throughout her graduate training, Dr. Guggenheim developed a strong interest in the relationship between physical health and emotional well-being. She completed advanced clinical training at Geisinger Medical Center during her predoctoral residency and at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital during her postdoctoral fellowship. These experiences provided her with extensive training in evidence-based treatment for anxiety, depression, health-related concerns, adjustment difficulties, and the psychological impact of medical conditions.

Working within large medical centers reinforced Dr. Guggenheim's appreciation for the powerful connection between mind and body. Her training emphasized a biopsychosocial approach to care, recognizing that emotional health, physical health, relationships, and life circumstances all play important roles in overall well-being.

Today, Dr. Guggenheim provides individual psychotherapy for adults throughout New Jersey via telehealth. She specializes in helping patients navigate anxiety, depression, chronic stress, health anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, and the emotional impact of medical and reproductive health concerns. Her approach integrates cognitive-behavioral therapy, self-compassion, and a strengths-based perspective to help patients develop practical coping skills, foster resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.
